Rocky Creek Conservation Area consists of over 224 acres of park, open space and conservation land and is managed jointly with Pierce County for public enjoyment of existing ecosystem. Rocky Creek has over three miles of walking (non-motorized) trails, two benches, a trailhead kiosk, and three parking spots available at the trailhead. The property consists of woodlands (a mixture of fir, hemlock, alder and cedar), wetlands, two streams (Glee Creek and Rocky Creek), as well as various plants and wildlife.
Directions: From the Purdy stop light, go south on State Highway 302 for about five miles. Before the stop light, take the right lane to continue on State Highway 302. Go another two miles. Turn right onto 150th Ave. Take a left on the first road, Crew Road/Elgin Clifton Access Road. Continue on road for about one mile until you see the trail head on the left. (There are trails on both sides of the road.
